St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School is a member of the Diocese of Harrisburg Catholic Youth Organization, recognized as being a competitive grade school athletic league in the Greater Harrisburg Area.
The student body in grades 3 to 8 may participate in the athletic program, adhering to satisfactory academic performance and character development. The programs focus on providing an atmosphere of cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Parishioners and community members donate time for coaching and supervising events. The Athletic Association governs the program and provides the personnel to accomplish the goals of the program.
A "Parental Permission and Consent to Treat Form" must be completed for each student. Students are required to be covered by accident insurance, either individual or diocesan coverage. Students may not participate on a day of absence from school due to illness or suspension.
Our athletic facilities include an excellent gymnasium, providing ample space for indoor activities, as well as a large outdoor athletic field suited for all outdoor events.

Member of Harrisburg CYO League consisting of twenty teams in three divisions. Teams go on to deanery and diocesan championships.
Girls Basketball - JV and Varsity teams for grades 3-8
Member of Harrisburg CYO League consisting of twenty teams in three divisions. Teams go on to deanery and diocesan championships.
Girls Volleyball - JV and Varsity teams
Girls Cheerleading - JV and Varsity teams for grades 3-8
Please Note: Programs for younger children will vary year-to-year.
2022-2023 Athletics Information
- All registrations are due by Monday, September 19.
- As we did last year, we will not collect the participation fee at the time of registration, nor will we have one uniform hand out day for everyone. Uniforms will be distributed at practices this fall. The participation fee must be paid at this time. Your child will not receive a uniform until the participation fee is received.
- If you have not participated in CYO basketball or cheerleading prior to this year, we need to submit a copy of the student's birth certificate to the Diocese. Please send a copy to this email at the time of your registration.
- The Athletic Association and all of its teams use Team App as their primary communication method. See the instructions here for how to download Team App and join the correct access group for your child's team.
- We are not sure at this time if we will have 2nd grade students participate in girls and boys basketball in the novice divisions this year. If your 2nd grader is interested in playing basketball in the CYO league, please express your interest by completing the form here. We will be in touch once we have determined whether 2nd graders will be invited to participate in the novice division this year.
Bitty Basketball
We would like to renew our bitty basketball program for students in K-2. We have plenty of seasoned veterans who can provide help and guidance, but we are in need of someone to organize and lead this program. If you are interested in taking charge of this program, please email stcathletics@stck8school.org. We will not have the program this year without a volunteer to lead the way.
