Athletics

St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School is a member of the Diocese of Harrisburg Catholic Youth Organization, recognized as being a competitive grade school athletic league in the Greater Harrisburg Area.

The student body in grades 3 to 8 may participate in the athletic program, adhering to satisfactory academic performance and character development. The programs focus on providing an atmosphere of cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Parishioners and community members donate time for coaching and supervising events. The Athletic Association governs the program and provides the personnel to accomplish the goals of the program.

A "Parental Permission and Consent to Treat Form" must be completed for each student.  Students are required to be covered by accident insurance, either individual or diocesan coverage. Students may not participate on a day of absence from school due to illness or suspension.

Our athletic facilities include an excellent gymnasium, providing ample space for indoor activities, as well as a large outdoor athletic field suited for all outdoor events.

CRUSADER RUNNING CLUB

The Crusader Running Club will meet every Friday starting on September 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the track down North Street and occasionally at the Codorus Marina. If your 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade student has aspirations to be a cross country or track star in high school or just wants to get in better shape for basketball, the Crusader running club is a good start. Many of the current Delone Cross Country runners started running with this club. They will also help coach when available.

The club will focus on proper running form, breathing, proper nutrition and hydration and injury prevention. We hope to hold a cross country meet against St Francis, St Joseph School, St John, and Mother Seton in late October at the Delone Codorus course.
The Crusader Running Club is free and will be coached by two assistant Delone Cross Country coaches and other running parents. The Club is looking for other coaches so don’t be shy. Please email your student’s interest (and your coaching interest) to West Brininger.
