St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School is happy to offer our students the following activities and clubs:
Alter Server: Boys and girls in Grades 3 - 8 are invited to become an altar server. The student must be a member of a Catholic Parish and represent good character. They are trained by the Pastor or his designee before they begin to serve. It is important that the altar servers are punctual, neat, reliable, accurate in following the schedule, dependable in finding a substitute when needed, and attentive while learning the proper functions and during Mass.

Envirothon: The Envirothon program is designed to test middle school students' knowledge of Pennsylvania natural resources and environmental sciences. The program emphasizes the importance of environmental sensitivity while stressing a need to achieve a social, ecological, and economic balance. The Pennsylvania Envirothon provides future generations with the ability to be better equipped to address the complex natural resource concerns facing today's world as well as the challenges of tomorrow. More information is sent home during the school year.
Forensics: 7th and 8th Grade students have the opportunity to showcase their public speaking and dramatic abilities in three challenging categories: Persuasion, Oral Interpretation, and Duo Dramatic Interpretation at the annual Diocese of Harrisburg competition usually held in March.
Graphic Design & Art Club: New in 2019-2020! Students in Grades 4-8 have the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. Meetings are held during the Activity period on Thursdays and once per month after school from September - May. More information to follow!
K’Nex Design Challenge: Students in Grades 4 - 8 may participate in the yearly K’nex Design Challenge on working in teams of four. Competition is held at the Lincoln Intermediate Unit in New Oxford in the late winter or early spring.
Instrumental Music: The instrumental music program at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School is offered through Delone Catholic High School. Information concerning the program is sent home to parents at the beginning of the school year. The program is optional for students in Grades 4 - 8. An annual fee is due in the fall. Parents are responsible for payment for the instrumental lessons. For more information on Elementary or Junior Band, please click here.
School Choir: All students in Grades 4 - 8 are eligible to participate in the Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School Choir. Rehearsals are held during the Activity period on Thursdays. Optional after school rehearsal is held on Thursday from 3:15 - 3:45 p.m. Please contact Mrs. Pugliese for more information.
Students in Grades 2 and 3 may also participate in a School Mass Choir at the Conewago Campus. The choir will sing for the school Masses throughout the school year. STEM After School Club: Students in grades 1 - 6 will have the opportunity to register and participate in various sessions throughout the year, which will take place on Thursdays after school.
Student Council: Student Council is a student-based civic organization designed to help promote school spirit and leadership among students. Students in Grades 4 - 8 are eligible to participate in Student Council. Two representatives are elected from each grade. Officers of the Student Council are elected from the 8th grade. The elected officers and representatives serve on the council for one year. Meetings are 2nd Tuesday of the Month, September - May. There will be no meeting in December. All student Council Meetings will take place immediately after school. Students should be picked up at 4:00 p.m. at the school's main entrance.
SWAT (Students Working to Advance Technology): Open to students in Grades 6 - 8. Meetings are held during the Activity period on Thursdays. Students in SWAT include members of the Yearbook staff. Activities completed during the SWAT meetings include designing websites, building computers, animation and creating a "Tips, Tricks & Troubleshooting" handbook.
Yearbook: Open to students in Grade 8.
