St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School Transition Update
Uniform Two-year Transition Phase Clarifications
Each school (Sacred Heart, Immaculate Conception B.V.M., and Annunciation B.V.M.) may continue to wear their current attire during the two-year transition phase (including physical education uniforms). The overall standards of modesty and neatness should be followed under the School Dress Code Policy. All regular uniform items may be worn year-round EXCEPT shorts and skorts, which are lightweight uniform only (beginning of the school year until October 31st and April 1st until the end of the school year). For all boys, while the white button-down oxford shirts and ties are optional during the transition period, it is encouraged for boys in Grades 4-8 to wear the shirt and ties on every Friday Mass day (November 1st until March 31st). For the physical education uniform from November 1st until March 31st, students in Grades 4-8 may wear their shorts under their sweatpants if the students wish to remove their sweatpants during physical education class. It is not expected for current families at any of the three schools to buy new items. For the first year, we will be buying and providing EVERY student at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School a gray (phys. ed.) short-sleeve t-shirt. Review of the Dress Code Policy will be ongoing each year.
